Bryn Jones MA
I have been practising as a Dramatherapist and Mindfulness-based therapist since 2010. Previously I worked professionally as a theatre director in the UK and overseas. Before taking up my psychotherapeutic training I lived for seven years as a Buddhist monk in Southeast Asia. As such, my psychotherapeutic practice arises from the convergence of these two rich streams.
Currently, I see people for psychotherapy and supervision in my private practice in London. I work from comfortable and private consulting rooms in Forest Hill / Sydenham SE26 and in Hatton Garden EC1N. I also offer the possibility to work online.
In my broader clinical practice, I have practising privileges with the Priory Hospital London, where I run the Addiction Treatment Programme psychodrama group. I am a registered healthcare practitioner with the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine and I run therapeutic groups for adults within a bereavement service.
I am a fully qualified HCPC Registered Dramatherapist and BADth registered clinical supervisor.
I am an alumni and lecturer on the MA Drama and Movement Therapy MA at Royal Central School (University of London) and external examiner for both the University of Derby Dramatherapy MA and the City of Bristol College/Bath Spa University Creative Therapeutic Practice BA. I completed my clinical supervisors training with the London Centre for Psychodrama and am now a member of their core teaching team.
I have authored and co-edited the books Dramatherapy - Reflections and Praxis published by Macmillan and Dramatherapy The Nature of Interruption published by Routledge and have written individual chapters for several other publications and journals.
